Who is Tekdesk?
Tekdesk provides a broad range of technology support and services to Ontario public libraries and non-profits. Our service is not hardware or software specific and our staff researches solutions to any computer issue. Tekdesk is equipped with a comprehensive test lab to reproduce the problems our clients face on their own systems.
Based out of Peterborough, Tekdesk is a charitable organization established in 2001 to support public libraries and public Internet access sites. Managed by Community Opportunity Innovation Network (COIN) in conjunction with Peterborough Public Library, Tekdesk has excelled in its mandate to serve these clients, winning an unprecedented three awards in 2003 for service to the sector.

Training Lab / Boardroom Rentals
|
Our full service-training lab has a flexible floor plan from a conference table for more casual discussions, to a fully equipped computer lab, which seats 20, with wheelchair accessibility. Access to our Team board or our drop down screen and data projector can be hooked up to one of our laptops or your own, to ensure visual demonstrations and presentations are problem free. To ensure the highest accessibility we provide High-speed wireless access throughout the lab, both for lab computers and outside laptops. |

Professional trainers will work both from our location in the Peterborough Public Library, off-site or through our online classroom teaching many different areas of computer software and internet based technology. Below are just some of the sessions we offer:

Computer / Web Based Training
|
Tekdesk eLearning uses Horizon Wimba Live Classroom. Using our interactive online classroom, you can host meetings or training sessions using one of our trainers or your own. Converse with the facilitator or the group; discuss topics with other participants, the instructor privately or publicly using the chat window. Web Design Services

Tekdesk offers complete website design services. We will work with you to customize the content, style, and feel of your website. As a web services client of Tekdesk, you will have access to our helpdesk to assist with questions or problems that may arise with your website. All Tekdesk website designs are fully documented for easy maintenance and editing purposes. Our professional staff also trains you to maintain the site on your own after development is complete |
